The Top 10 Best Things to Feed Yourself & Your Bridal Party As You Prep For The Big Day
Your Big Day is not the day you’ll want to walk down the aisle Hangry! and Being Hangry will show in your Wedding photos because you won’t be smiling or attentive and the camera will be rolling by the hour. So be sure, if you do nothing else, pack light snacks in your Wedding Day bag so you can at least have something to hold you until you say “I-do”.
Being Lightheaded or Fatigued because you have not eaten can also result in major complications on the big day. We definitely do not want you fainting before, during, or after the ceremony. After all you are the star of the show. So, even if it’s just a snicker from the vending machine at your hotel eat Something!
I’ve rounded up some of my favorite hors d'oeuvres and appetizers to serve as inspiration for your day-of “get ready with me” menu. Some of your bride squad may be light snackers and others may want a full meal. Don’t worry I got you covered!
A Salad
If you are a City girl like me! Panera Bread will hold you down with either a half or full salad, which comes with a side of bread or apple chips. My Favorite go-to when I know I’m going to have a long day. I get to fill up on both nutrients and water all in one bowl. It’s also a rejuvenating meal after a hangover.
2. Avocado Toast
Avocado Toast has become one of my new favorites (if done right). Eating an avocado alone is filling. However, when it’s seasoned and made into a spread, then put on toast, it is magnificent! Your Girls will love the taste and feel sophisticated while indulging.
3. Green Smoothie
For all my plant based socialites, a green smoothie will give you all the nutrients you will need to seize the day. Green smoothies are one of my favorite go-tos on the big day because it is light yet it packs on so much weight (figuratively speaking). As a planner, I even opt for a green smoothie the morning of a wedding because there just so much to get done that I may not be able to sit and enjoy a meal. My smoothie is mobile! It can run around with me while I finalize last minute touch ups & not make a mess.
4. Açaí Bowl
Omg! I’ve never known a love like the one I have for the Açaí Bowl. A Smoothie with all the fixings in a bowl. Who ever came up with that idea, is one clever son of a gun. Talk about FULL! This bowl will have you literally doing cartwheels before you walk down the aisle. You should opt for one of these beautifully hand crafted smoothie bowls while you get ready, because it will definitely hold you down up until cocktail hour.
5. Chick-fil-A
Chick-fil-A Chick’n minis are my ULTIMATE favorites! They are legit tiny little chicken sandwiches. How could you ever go wrong with that? If you or your bride squad is anything like me, all it takes is one bite and they’re demolished. Order a bulk of Chick’n minis the morning of your wedding, enough to last until you begin taking photos. They open pretty early + if you download the app, you have the option for delivery.
6. French Fries
Okay, Let’s get pretty honest here. You can never go wrong with French Fries. I can probably eat French Fries at any time of the day, everyday for the rest of my life. There just that good. Some people are very picky about their fries and where they get them from. Don’t get me wrong I love Truffle Fries, Rosemary + Sea Salt Fires, or even Bacon Fries (I’m allergic to cheese), but nothing beats McDonald’s French Fries. They’re classic & inexpensive.
If you download the McDonald’s app, you receive rewards. Every week McDonald’s gives you the chance to purchase an order of Large fries for just $1.00. Crazy right! Download the app Today!
7. Donuts
Donuts are such a Fun & Sweet snack. 2 Dozen Donuts should be a great amount to rest in your bridal suite. Welcome it anyone who is allowed in the suite (I.e. bridal party, moms, and vendors). 9 out of 10 times your vendors will be very appreciative because they probably didn’t have breakfast themselves before coming to assist you on the big day. Vendor appreciation will go a long way and will result in better service.
8. Charcuterie Board
Bring the Sophistication to your Socialite experience. Your Squad will feel so fancy picking from a beautifully hand-crafted charcuterie board filled with nuts, chocolates, meats, cheese, and plenty more.
Cheese and Things boxes are available to be shipped and delivered to your hotels location.
9. Fruit Platter
Fresh fruit will your best friend on the big day. Especially fruits packed with electrolytes & carbohydrates, to help keep you fueled and full of energy.

10. Water
Please, please, please!! I’m begging you! Do not forget to Hydrate yourself. There is nothing worse than a dehydrated bridal or bridal party member. We need your skin to look nourished, your eyes to pop, and your voice not to crackle. Water will do the trick. As long as you have a few glasses or 2 bottles of water (minimum) before the ceremony you should look and feel your best.
Essentia Water is typically my go-to water I purchase in-store. Their Moto is “Designed to help you do what matters most”
